We are a privately-owned hospital that strives to provide the highest quality eye care to our patients, clients and referring veterinarians. Job Type:
Full-time, 4-day a week schedule, open Monday-Friday only (no weekends or evenings)
Pay:
Compensation is based on experience/skill level.
Range:
$36.00 - $46.00 per hour Veterinary Technician applicants will need the following qualifications to be considered for the position: Current Washington State Veterinary Technician License. A minimum of three years of veterinary anesthesia experience required including: developing anesthesia protocols; anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring and recovery; endotracheal intubation; and fluid administration. Experience with mechanical ventilation is preferred. Strong knowledge of anesthesia machine usage, monitoring equipment (SPO2, ETCO2, ECG, and NIBP), and different anesthesia breathing circuits. Ability to assists veterinarians with ophthalmic exams of small animal and exotic patients in a safe and compassionate manner. Ability to efficiently manage a high-volume outpatient ophthalmology day, coordinating patient flow and diagnostics to keep the doctor on schedule. Knowledge of sterile technique and preparing/maintaining surgical instrumentation and equipment. High level of focus on exceptional patient care and communication with clients and referring veterinarians. Responsibilities Provide high-quality veterinary care to animals, including administering medications and performing diagnostic tests. Assist in surgical procedures by preparing instruments and monitoring anesthesia. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions. Ensure a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff.
