P atient care E ngagement A ccountability K nowledge Growth Position Summary At Timberline Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (TVES), our blood bank saves lives every week. We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician who wants to step into a unique role that combines strong technical skills, client connection, and program leadership. This is not a traditional technician role. As our Blood Bank LVT, you will help grow and run our donor program, perform canine and feline blood donations, educate our team and community on transfusion medicine, and help ensure blood products are available to hospitals throughout the region. You'll work directly with our founders and medical team while building relationships with donors, clients, and local veterinary clinics. If you enjoy both hands-on patient care and building meaningful programs from the ground up, this role offers a rare opportunity to do both. Your work directly supports emergency and specialty patients who depend on timely transfusions. You will help ensure lifesaving blood products are available not only for our hospital, but for others in the region.
What You'll Do:
Perform and oversee safe blood donations for dogs and cats. Help support and maintain blood bank protocols. Support blood product storage, logging, and distribution. Communicate with donor families and community partners. Participate in marketing, outreach events, and donor engagement. Support patient care across the hospital when needed.

Washington State LVT with strong technical skills. Confident communicator who enjoys client education. Organized and self-motivated with an interest in program development. Team-oriented and aligned with a culture of accountability and empathy. Excited by a role that blends medicine, community, and leadership.
Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits:
Hourly compensation is based on experience and skill level ($33 - $45/hr). During slow periods, you will support and care for patients in the ER. Shift differentials apply for overnight and weekend shifts in addition to hourly rates.
