Certified Veterinary Technician

Northside Pet Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility. Our services include laser surgery and all the routine veterinary visits! We currently have an opening for a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician. If you enjoy customer service, assisting doctors, working with animals, then we encourage you to apply to Northside Pet Hospital! Hours include 9-hour shifts, four days a week, with a regular day off. Our full-time Certified Veterinary Technicians can expect to work 36-40 hours per week. Previous experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description:

• Record and update patient information
• Assist the Veterinarians with exams and surgeries
• Collect specimens and perform routine laboratory procedures
• Educate clients about preventative care, and discuss needed treatment plans
• Administer medications and injections
• Schedule appointments and create invoices
• Perform dental cleanings
• Initiate emergency procedures and restrain animals as needed

• Animal Care Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older

• AAS-VT/ CVT

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
