Why Our Veterinary Technicians Love Kaukauna Veterinary Clinic Supportive team culture where teammates genuinely help one another "Better together" environment where wins are shared, and challenges aren't faced alone Leaders who listen, value your ideas, and appreciate your contributions Predictable scheduling and respect for your time No nights or holidays Rotating Saturdays so you still get weekends to recharge Real lunch breaks and flexibility when life happens Birthday celebrations, milestones, and the little wins that matter What Our Veterinary Technicians Do Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection Obtain high-quality radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and other diagnostics Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and patient discharge Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals while maintaining accurate records Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care Educate clients on patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts Keep treatment and exam areas clean, stocked, and organized Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient workflow and a positive hospital culture Participate in ongoing training and growth opportunities within the practice What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring Current Certified Veterinary Technician credential required Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment Confidence in safe and effective patient handling and restraint Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring Knowledge of preventative care, vaccines, pharmacology, and medication administration Experience assisting in surgery, dentistry, and patient nursing care Proficiency with radiology, diagnostics, and basic imaging techniques Ability to accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories Clear, compassionate communication with clients and team members Strong attention to detail and accurate medical documentation Collaborative, team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed Commitment to continued learning, growth, and professional development Positive attitude, reliability, and genuine passion for veterinary medicine The Extras You'll Actually Feel A diverse caseload that allows you to use a wide variety of skills High standards of care with a team that's proud of the medicine they practice Opportunities to work with dentistry, anesthesia, laser therapy, and ultrasound A workplace where collaboration, respect, and positivity matter A team that celebrates birthdays, milestones, and everyday wins Leadership that supports your growth and values your voice Benefits You Can't Beat Financial Benefits A flexible approach to compensation that reflects your skill set and future performance 401(k) matching & Roth Retirement Savings Plan Flexible Spending Account (full-time only) 529 Savings Plan Tuition Support Program (full-time only) Referral bonus program Wellness Benefits Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision (full-time only) Supplemental insurance, including accident, critical illness, hospital, short and long-term disability, legal plan, and employee, spouse, and child-dependent life insurance (full-time only) Up to three weeks of full pay for the birth or adoption of a child (full-time employees only; available after one year of service).
