Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Certified Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians with a wide range of clinical duties, ensuring our animal patients receive compassionate, high-quality treatment. Your expertise will help create a positive environment where pets and their owners feel confident and cared for. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your veterinary skills in a fast-paced, rewarding setting dedicated to animal health and well-being. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint, preparation, and monitoring. Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnosis. Conduct animal husbandry tasks including maintaining cleanliness of kennels and treatment areas. Proficiency in animal restraint to ensure safety for animals and staff during procedures. Administer medications, perform venipuncture and assist with wound care following aseptic techniques. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files with treatment notes, and ensure compliance with veterinary protocols. Support pet owners by providing education on pet care and post-treatment instructions. Skills Proven experience in veterinary settings with strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy. Skilled in animal handling techniques. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and diagnostic imaging such as X-ray technology. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures related to pet dental health. Ability to perform animal venipuncture and follow aseptic techniques confidently. Excellent communication skills for educating pet owners about animal physiology and veterinary care practices.
