We are currently interested in filling the position for a part-time Veterinary Technician near Watertown, WI. This position is uniquely focused on laparoscopy where this candidate will perform these procedures under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian. Compensation is in the upper 10% for certified veterinarian technicians in Wisconsin with a yearly bonus and opportunity to grow in salary and responsibilities. This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limited to: Apply knowledge of large animal anesthesia protocols to assist in procedures safely and effectively. Support other veterinarians and technicians during surgical or reproductive procedures with precision and attention to detail. Maintain strict sterility and cleanliness in surgical environments to ensure biosecurity and animal well-being. Administer medications and assist in post-procedure animal monitoring. Responsible for technical procedures such as data entry and record-keeping. Communicate (verbally and written) to supervisor, customers and research center employees. Monitor and support feed distribution, clean water availability, and climate control systems. Support cross-functional needs across departments when operational priorities shift. High level of professionalism and confidentiality with company-related matters. Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including early mornings or as needed. Perform other technical and production duties as assigned to support surgical and research programs. The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications: Vet tech degree required. Familiarity with biosecurity protocols in the swine industry. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Attentiveness to detail. Interest and concern for animals. Capable of working as a member of a high-performing team or independently. Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced changing environment.
