Job Description

Who We Are:
More Than a Hospital — A Mission Veterinary Pulse Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a dual mission: to meet our region's urgent need for after-hours veterinary care — and to support the people who make that care possible. Through our flagship initiative—Pet Pulse After Hours ER—we're creating a sustainable, compassionate solution to a long-standing gap in veterinary emergency care. For over 30 years, Teton County's veterinary clinics have struggled with rotating after-hours coverage, leading to burnout, staff turnover, and limited availability. Our urgent care hybrid hospital (opening early fall 2026) will change that. We'll be open nights, weekends, and holidays to provide urgent care when regular clinics are closed, working in partnership with existing veterinarians. Our nonprofit structure lets us focus on what matters: veterinary care, not profit margins. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint and animal catheterization techniques. Perform laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Prepare animals for surgery by ensuring proper aseptic technique and maintaining sterile environments. Handle patients with confidence in animal husbandry and animal physiology. Operate X-ray machines and interpret radiographs to assist in diagnosis while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of treatments, laboratory results, and patient histories with accuracy and professionalism. Ensure the proper restraint of animals during procedures using animal restraint techniques to minimize stress and injury. Assist in emergency veterinary critical care situations by providing vital support under supervision.
