HVAC Lead Install Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Lead Install Technician to spearhead installation projects and oversee field service operations. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schematics, design plans, and safety protocols. Supervise and mentor a team of service technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures and best practices. Perform complex HVAC system installations, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing connections, and mechanical components. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) blueprints to execute precise installations. Conduct equipment repair and maintenance tasks using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently. Ensure all work complies with local codes, industry standards, and company policies; maintain detailed documentation of work performed. Assist with property maintenance tasks as needed; support appliance repair and general mechanical troubleshooting on-site. Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites; maintain a clean driving record in accordance with driver requirements. Experience Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC installation and repair. Extensive knowledge of construction processes related to HVAC systems and property maintenance. Skilled in reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and HVAC/R equipment repair. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment maintenance. Demonstrated ability to lead field service teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with appliance repair is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; certifications in HVAC technology or mechanical trades are highly desirable.
