Hydraulic Parts Source is seeking a hands-on Hydraulic Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the assembly, conversion, testing, and inspection of industrial and mobile hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and related components. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. This is a working technician role where success comes from accuracy, troubleshooting ability, craftsmanship, and teamwork — not just turning wrenches. You will work with industry-leading hydraulic product lines including Vickers, Rexroth, and Denison while supporting both customer orders and internal quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Production Assemble hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and subassemblies to OEM specifications and customer requirements. Read and interpret bills of material (BOMs), assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Convert and configure stock hydraulic components to meet specific customer orders. Verify component integrity, fitment, and operational readiness throughout the assembly process. Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and organization within the work area. Testing & Quality Control Perform functional testing of pumps, motors, valves, and subassemblies using hydraulic test stands and related equipment. Ensure all tested units meet Hydraulic Parts Source quality and performance standards prior to shipment. Accurately document and maintain organized testing and inspection records. Identify and communicate quality concerns, non-conformances, or improvement opportunities. Surplus & Inventory Support Inspect, prepare, and process surplus hydraulic components for inventory and stock. Assist with inventory organization and material handling as needed. Teamwork & Culture Support and embody the Hydraulic Parts Source culture through professionalism, accountability, and teamwork. Participate in team meetings, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. Assist teammates and other departments during workflow fluctuations to support customer satisfaction and operational success. Maintain a positive attitude during periods of change, growth, and operational challenges. Continuous Improvement & Learning Cross-train on multiple hydraulic product lines and testing procedures. Participate in internal and external training opportunities and certifications. Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow processes. Qualifications & Technical Skills Mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical experience required. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and parts documentation. Familiarity with hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting preferred. Ability to understand manufacturer model codes and related technical data. Experience using hand tools, precision measuring tools, and shop equipment. Ability to safely operate hydraulic test stands and understand testing procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team environment. Prior hydraulic repair, assembly, mechanic, or industrial maintenance experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Why Join Hydraulic Parts Source?
