Job Summary This person is knowledgeable about all whey operating equipment and is capable of overseeing its sound use. Essential Functions Efficiently operate all whey processing equipment (C1,C2 UF 1 & 2) Collect and deliver all required samples to the laboratory Monitor operation of equipment and make adjustments to produce top quality products Trouble shoots equipment to improve and maintain operating efficiencies Operate and maintain all CIP systems Keep work area clean and uncluttered Assist with training people and/or other operators Read through Standard Operating Procedures and help update them when possible Take readings and fill out equipment log sheets Helps clean the interior & exterior of the plant Monitor & Report all product spills, safety hazards, and equipment problems Take an active role in team participation i.e. HACCP, Food Safety etc Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
