The Fuels Management Distribution Mechanic shall operate and perform operator maintenance on mobile refueling equipment and issue petroleum fuels

IAW TO 00-25-172, TO 42B1-1, DAFI

23-201 and

AFI 24-302.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Perform duties as defined by applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), along with any USAF-like functions typically performed within the 2F0X1 associated career field.
• Operate mobile or hydrant refueling equipment that they are task qualified on to issue/defuel fuel to/from home station and TDY aircraft or associated equipment/fuel tanks.
• Ensure accuracy of fuel transaction documents. The contractor shall initiate and complete documentation to ensure accurate fuels audit trails and environmental compliance mandates.
• The contractor shall perform, and document operator checks and routine maintenance on mobile refueling equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and segregation of products issued and verify quantity and quality of issued products and document discrepancies.
• Isolate off-specification products and take appropriate actions to correct problems and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Inspect and operate the pump house and fill stand systems IAW TO 37-1-1, 37A-1-101 and local checklists.
• Ensure systems are in correct configuration and monitor pump and control room during use for leaks, odd noises, or any abnormal occurrences.

Maintain contact with the Fuel Service Center (FSC), fill stand and hose cart operators during operations. Once operations are completed the contractor will return the system to stand-by configuration and secure facility when no longer required for operations.

• Perform controller duties to include dispatch and control of all flightline and POL operations

• Responsible for initiating emergency checklist and monitoring the Fuels Manager's Operating Systems including monitoring tanks for leaks and overfills.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior certified/qualified 7-level Fuels Management Specialists (2F0X1) with a minimum of six (6) years previous experience.
• Must be able to pass US Department of Transportation (DOT)/State examinations and all entry level drivers training (ELDTs) to attain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must be able to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening to attain a Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME).
• Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Wage:

$30.58 per hr. Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to meet the minimum medical requirements to pass a US DOT medical examination to attain a CDL.
• May require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
• Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions.
• May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate although it could be loud if near the aircraft parking apron.
• May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
• May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area.
