Job Description
The heart of The Peregrine Fund's education program is our Interpretive Center where visitors have the opportunity to meet live raptors from around the world. This provides a unique experience that engages the public about the importance of science and conservation. The Volunteer Services Coordinator (VSC) ensures that environmental education programs are sufficiently staffed w/volunteers. The VSC will work closely and collaboratively w/the Manager of Volunteer Engagement to facilitate volunteer activities at The World Center for Birds of Prey.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident; Must possess HS diploma/equivalent; Must be fluent in English; Must be able to commit to full term of service; Must successfully pass a fingerprint criminal history background check.PREFERRED SKILLS
Outstanding communication skills, both oral & written; Demonstrated ability to organize/inspire dedicated volunteer community; Must be flexible self-starter & team player; Understand general principles of customer service/crowd control; Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Application suite; Passion for education & conservation of biodiversity; Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.MEMBER BENEFITS

during daily operations/during special events; Spearhead volunteer communications/distribution of training tools; Assist w/development/promotion/scheduling/conducting of volunteer training; implement awards/recognition for retention of volunteers; manage volunteer database; develop professional networks/understanding of volunteer administration field; Answer questions/engage visiting public about conservation issues; Collaborate w/Education team to coordinate volunteer involvement for outreach opportunities; Participate in planning/coordinating of events throughout year.Project Location/Transportation Needs:
Personal vehicle would be necessary to travel to/from The World Center for Birds of Prey, 5668 W Flying Hawk Lane, Boise, ID.Dates/Service Hours:
F/T 11 months, btwn September, 2026 and August, 2027. Member will average between 35-40 hours per week, w/schedule to be determined by supervisor.Program Benefits :
