Steel Process

Position Summary Set up and operate cut to length line. Provide prepared steel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Productively set up, operate and adjust, automatic cut to length, leveler, blaster and edge coating equipment. Perform in-process and final inspection using various measuring instruments. Conduct and report steel inventory as requested

EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma 0-3 months experience Ability to communicate with others both written and verbally

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate, read and write in English

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Intermediate Shop Math

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning

COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to do basic data entry

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 AM 5-PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
