$84,000 - $90,000 COMPREHENSIVE

POSITION SUMMARY The Elementary Principal & Title I Coordinator serves as the administrative and operational leader of the elementary school while coordinating the district's Title I program. This role ensures a safe, well-managed school environment and the effective administration of Title I services, compliance, and family engagement requirements for eligible students. The position also supports instructional practice through observation, professional learning, and curriculum coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in Education, Educational Administration, or related field Michigan School Administrator certification required or actively working toward administrative certification Experience with Title I programming, compliance, and reporting required Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching or school-based experience Experience in school administration or student services preferred Strong organizational, communication, and compliance management skills
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Building Administration & School Operations Serve as the administrative leader of the elementary building Oversee daily building operations, schedules, supervision plans, and student records Ensure a safe, orderly, and well-supervised school environment Supervise and support assigned staff in carrying out building-level responsibilities Manage assigned building budgets and internal accounts Ensure compliance with Board policy, state requirements, and district procedures Communicate effectively with families, staff, and community stakeholders Student Supervision & School Climate Oversee student supervision during arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch, and recess Address student discipline in accordance with Board policy and the student handbook Communicate with families regarding student attendance, behavior, and building procedures Coordinate attendance monitoring and required truancy processes Support student safety and well-being in collaboration with district staff Instructional Leadership & Professional Learning Conduct classroom observations to assess instructional and program effectiveness Support staff in implementing best instructional practices and evidence-based strategies Coordinate and deliver professional learning aligned to district improvement priorities Lead curriculum implementation, alignment, and refinement in collaboration with district teams Facilitate staff meetings and professional learning communities as needed Title I Program Coordination & Compliance Coordinate and administer the district's Title I program in accordance with federal and state requirements Ensure proper use, tracking, and documentation of Title I funds Lead development and monitoring of the Title I Schoolwide or Targeted Assistance Plan Coordinate Title I compliance activities, including documentation, reporting, and audits Support and coordinate required Title I parent and family engagement activities Serve as the district point of contact for Title I communications and reporting Data, Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate Title I records and compliance documentation Coordinate required Title I reporting and timelines Monitor participation and service delivery for eligible students Provide required reports to the Superintendent and district leadership Communication & Collaboration Serve as a liaison between the elementary building, district administration, and families Collaborate with district staff to ensure alignment of Title I services with district procedures Communicate building updates, procedures, and Title I information clearly and consistently Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent
