The PSA will work with residents of Sojourn House every day, supporting their healing and recovery. The PSA will build strong relationships by demonstrating consistency to the residents.

General Responsibilities:

• Provide positive support to all Clients and Residents.
• Orient incoming Residents in Sojourn House Policies and Procedures to insure adequate integration into culture and expectations.
• Mentor each Resident in their specific needs to successfully complete the Program.
• Oversee the physical property while on duty.
• Perform administrative duties as needed for the role.
• May perform urine drug screens as needed.
• Be available for monthly staff meeting.
• Assist other Sojourn House staff with duties as needed.
• May transport clients in personal or Sojourn House vehicle as needed.
• Work with volunteers in the house.
• Help to maintain the house schedule and supplies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to Sojourn House values.
• Maintain confidentiality as appropriate, earn trust and respect of others, and exhibit behaviors that express the ethical practice of the organization.
• Listens attentively to others and responds appropriately to questions and comments.

Qualifications and Job Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of sobriety from substance use or history of recovery from a related area
• Knowledge or experience in recovery programs, i.e. 12 step programs.
• Seeks excellence and life balance spiritually, mentally, financially, relationally and in personal development.
• Computer skills to perform tasks.
