DENTISTRY-BUILDING SUPPORT SER
(IN-DSBL-IUINA) Department Information The Indiana University School of Dentistry has been advancing oral health in the state and beyond since 1879, when it was founded as the Indiana Dental College. Over the past 140 years, we've become a national leader in preparing oral health professionals, conducting innovative research that has an impact on patients and the profession, and providing patient-centered care. Job Summary Dispenses clinic supplies, materials, and instruments for all patient care activity and preclinical activity. Prepares various packages and kits for distribution, and ensures tracking of assets. Ensures proper utilization and compliance with clinic equipment loan policies and procedures. Takes inventory of instruments and maintains inventory level and records. Identifies and replaces instruments as needed. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsEDUCATION
Required High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) Preferred Dental assisting program graduateWORK EXPERIENCE
Required 2 years of related experience SKILLS Required Proficient communication skills Maintains a high degree of professionalism Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills Demonstrates a high commitment to quality Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Highly thorough and dependable Working Conditions / Demands This role requires sedentary work as well as extended durations of moving about the workplace. It requires the ability to move objects and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and the ability to discern between various objects and devices and to position patients. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
