Industrial Electrician- Job Description
- This role focuses on maintaining and repairing automated manufacturing machinery and equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and service a wide range of industrial equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation across the facility.
- Responsibilities
- + Inspect, repair, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing machinery and automated equipment.
+ Specialize in the electrical maintenance of industrial systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of components and controls. + Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. + Use voltage meters and other diagnostic tools to work safely with 24V, AC/DC, 110V, and 480V electrical systems. + Organize, maintain, and update data and manual maintenance records to ensure accurate equipment history and documentation. + Order repair parts, components, and supplies to support timely maintenance and minimize equipment downtime. + Install new equipment and perform related tasks, including painting and finishing, to ensure proper operation and presentation. + Design and build support activity equipment and fixtures that improve production processes and maintenance efficiency. + Assist with facility and building modifications, including electrical and mechanical updates to support operations. + Troubleshoot and repair systems involving three-phase motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics as part of integrated machinery. + Perform welding tasks as needed to support equipment repair, modification, or installation. + Respond to nighttime calls for maintenance support and participate in occasional weekend work when projects require it. + Collaborate with team members to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Essential Skills
- + At least one year of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
+ At least two years of maintenance electrician experience in an industrial setting. + Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. + Proficiency using voltage meters and working safely with 24V, AC/DC, 110V, and 480V electrical systems. + Hands-on experience with three-phase motors and industrial power distribution. + Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and automated equipment. + Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for manufacturing machinery. + Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial environment. + Ability to organize and maintain accurate data and manual maintenance records. + Willingness to accept nighttime calls and work occasional weekends when projects require.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience with PLC-based systems and controls.
+ Industrial electrician background supporting automated manufacturing equipment. + Welding experience to support equipment repair and fabrication. + Ability to design and build support activity equipment and fixtures. + Experience assisting with facility and building modifications. + Comfort working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

- Work Environment
- You will work primarily indoors in a manufacturing setting on large rock processing and related industrial equipment, with approximately 90% of tasks performed inside the facility.
Some work will take place outdoors, so you should feel comfortable working in the elements when needed. The role follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to around 4:30-5:00 p.m., with the expectation of responding to nighttime calls and occasional weekend work when projects require additional support. The environment includes exposure to heavy machinery, automated systems, and industrial electrical equipment.
