Job Description

•The Scharine Group Inc is a leading manufacturer of custom material handling equipment located in Whitewater, Wisconsin. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team. •Role Summary The Industrial Engineer will analyze, design, and optimize operational systems to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality across the organization. This role blends data analysis, process engineering, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and performance. Key Responsibilities Evaluate current processes using time studies, workflow analysis, and data modeling to identify improvement opportunities Design and implement optimized processes, layouts, and systems that enhance throughput and reduce operational costs Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation Use simulation, forecasting, and capacity modeling to support strategic planning and resource allocation Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes, and performance gaps Partner with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to implement sustainable improvements Support automation, digital transformation, and technology integration projects Become the resident expert on material moving equipment such as tuggers, automated guided vehicles (AGV) and autonomous mobile robots (AMR) Improve ergonomics, safety, and workflow efficiency through human‑factors engineering Track KPIs and report on project outcomes, cost savings, and productivity gains Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Ability to interpret data, build models, and present insights to stakeholders Excellent communication and project management skills Preferred Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher Familiarity with CAD tools for layout design Background in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, or operations environments Success Indicators Measurable reductions in cost, waste, and cycle time Improved throughput, quality, and operational stability Strong cross‑functional relationships and influence Effective documentation and standardization of processes Ability to lead improvement projects from concept to implementation You should be proficient in: Data Analysis and Manipulation Continuous Improvement 5 Why (Root Cause Analysis Method) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Process Engineering Production Optimization Lean Manufacturing Principles Process Development Industrial Engineer 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars Whitewater, WI 53190 $50,000 - $70,000 a year The Scharine Group Inc. 17 reviews $50,000 - $70,000 a year •The Scharine Group Inc is a leading manufacturer of custom material handling equipment located in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
