Industrial Hygiene Team LeadLocation:
Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NCJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene (IH) professional to lead a regional IH practice within a high‑performing environmental consulting firm. This role oversees project delivery, team development, and business growth across North Carolina. The ideal candidate brings deep IH expertise, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to mentor a team while driving technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the growth of the Industrial Hygiene department by identifying new opportunities in commercial, industrial, and municipal markets.

Support business development through scoping complex IH projects and leading proposal efforts.

Recruit, mentor, and train IH professionals while ensuring high‑quality, compliant deliverables.

Manage and execute IH projects involving asbestos, lead, mold, radon, and indoor air quality investigations.

Conduct industrial exposure assessments, including silica, VOCs, welding fumes, and related hazards.

Oversee project budgets, resources, timelines, and communication to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications7+ years of Industrial Hygiene experience, including asbestos, lead, mold, and radon project work.

Experience working within commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors.

Accredited Asbestos Inspector, Management Planner, and Air Monitor (NC & SC) preferred.

Licensed Lead Inspector and Lead Risk Assessor (NC & SC) preferred.

CIH certification preferred but not required.

OSHA 40‑Hour
HAZWOPER
certification.

Experience managing P&L or financial responsibilities for projects or departments.

Strong communication, interpersonal, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
