Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing anodizing and metal processing operation. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production, facility and supporting equipment.

Union Shop:

Must join union after 30 days. 2nd

Shift Hours:

General hours would be 4:00 PM To 12:00 AM, M-Th. Hours may increase to 12 hrs. per day (4pm to 4am), M-TH as competency is determined. Type of Work Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on anodizing and slitting lines. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Maintain pumps, rectifiers, tanks, hoists, filtration systems, motors, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, & electrical systems. Diagnose and repair motors, VFD drives, and control systems Assist with PLC troubleshooting (preferred) Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation Electrical mechanical experience: Able to replace electrical components such as solenoid valves, motors up to 10 H.P. and simple controls. Requirements 3 to 7 years industrial maintenance experience (anodizing or metal finishing preferred); Associate's Degree Preferred or Trade School Certificate Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience with pumps, chemical systems, and corrosion-resistant equipment a plus Basic knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred) Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems Ability to read blue prints, electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools Welding and fabrication experience a plus Use of Lathe and Milling machine to fabricate parts. Read, write and speaking of the English language fluently Must have own tools. Physically capable to fully use of hand, arms, legs and body. Ability to stand throughout shift, lift, push, pull, crouch, bend, crawl, see, hear, speak, etc. to complete maintenance and repair functions. Able to work without restrictions. Valid Drivers License Work within 17 miles from location to ensure timely emergency call-in support. Full benefit package available, stable work, weekly pay, centrally located in Streamwood, IL.
