Infusion RN in Alexandria, VA

Category Nursing - RN - Infusion Job Type Direct Hire A unique opportunity awaits an experienced RN to take on a pivotal Nurse Supervisor role within a newly established pharmacy and infusion suite. The successful candidate will serve as the sole nurse initially, with plans to expand the team in the future. This position offers a dynamic combination of in-suite infusion therapy and home health visits, supporting patients with both acute and specialty medications.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (variable) Participates in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends Must be prepared to drive up to one hour in any direction to see patients as needed Will visit patient homes, some of which may include animals or cigarette smoke

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and indirect skilled nursing care in both suite and home settings Manage and implement physician orders related to patient care Lead the selection, training, and professional development of future staff Ensure timely patient assessments, education, and scheduling of services Oversee regulatory documentation and support billing processes Coordinate patient care with nurse scheduler and clinical coordinator Promote departmental efficiency and staff clinical competence Actively participate in decision-making and continuous improvement efforts with management Maintain all licensure and certifications as required

Desired Qualifications:

BSN from an accredited nursing program (MSN preferred) Active, unencumbered RN licensure in good standing At least 2 years' experience in home infusion, specialty infusion, home health, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy, or critical care Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred Minimum 1 year of supervisory or administrative management experience in a relevant setting within the last 5 years Strong IV therapy and vascular access device competency Proficiency in MS Office software Valid driver's license and flexibility for on-call and emergency response This direct hire position offers up to $120,000 annually and the chance to help shape a growing home infusion program.
