Inpatient Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Sun Prairie, WI is seeking three experienced inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract beginning June 8. This role requires strong clinical expertise in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings, with a focus on acute care and therapeutic medication management.

Responsibilities include:

Providing pharmacokinetic and renal dosing, therapeutic medication monitoring, and pharmacotherapy management for diverse medical conditions Managing drug shortages within the inpatient setting Utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system for accurate documentation and order verification Working a rotating schedule of 5 eight-hour shifts, alternating between day shifts (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and evening shifts (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.), including every third weekend Qualified candidates will have: At least 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience Experience in acute care pharmacy practice with sound clinical judgment An active Wisconsin pharmacist license; ACT-10 license holders are eligible Ability to comply with facility fit testing protocols, including shaving as required for mask seal (note: CAPRs and PAPRs will not be permitted) Additional details: Scrubs will be provided at the facility Candidates must be located more than 70 miles away, as local candidates will not be considered Non-billable orientation and onboarding hours required: 12 This is a contract opportunity ideal for licensed pharmacists ready to take on a dynamic inpatient role in a well-equipped hospital environment.
