This role is based on-site in Folcroft, PA and plays a critical part in estimating, quoting, and supporting commercial and industrial pump and pumping system projects within the construction bid and specification market . The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities, understands construction workflows, and can accurately interpret drawings and specifications to produce competitive and reliable estimates. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking for long-term growth within a stable and technical industry. Key Responsibilities Support Sales Engineers with estimating, quoting, and inside sales activities Perform material take-offs from engineered drawings and specifications Prepare accurate project cost estimates and formal quotations for bid and spec projects Create and manage submittal packages for engineers and contractors Assist with buy-out pricing and coordination with vendors and manufacturers Process sales orders and expedite materials to meet project schedules Collaborate with contractors and engineers on system design, sizing, and troubleshooting Support project execution, including limited project management responsibilities Assist with system start-up and commissioning when required Conduct field surveys for service, retrofit, or replacement projects as needed Resolve customer issues through investigation, communication, and follow-up Maintain organized records of quotes, bids, and project documentation Prioritize and manage multiple active estimates and deadlines simultaneously Required Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and documentation Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment Working knowledge of the construction industry , including contractor workflows Familiarity with the bid and specification market Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Strong teamwork mindset with a willingness to assist where needed High ethical standards, dependability, and accountability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a STEM-related field OR Minimum of 2 years of experience with a mechanical contractor performing material take-offs and estimates Experience with plumbing, HVAC, or pumping systems strongly preferred Ability to work in a drug-free environment Why Join Penn Pump & Equipment Co.?
