Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Looking to make a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs? Two contract positions are available for dedicated paraprofessionals to support elementary-aged students in Okay, OK. These roles focus on providing crucial assistance in a resource classroom and inclusion settings, working one-on-one or in small groups with students in grades PreK through 6th, including those with autism, hearing impairments, learning disabilities, and significant needs. As a paraprofessional in this supportive environment, you will join a single school for the academic year, contributing to a positive, inclusive educational experience—without toileting responsibilities. With a start date in early August and work continuing through late May, the schedule offers approximately 37.5 hours per week, with a lighter load on Fridays and several Fridays off.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma Current Oklahoma Paraprofessional Certification Experience supporting students with special needs (preferred) Compassionate, adaptable, and collaborative approach Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working with children in PreK-6th grade
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide academic, behavioral, and social support in both resource rooms and general education classes Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere for all students Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to address student needs Maintain accurate records and follow school protocols
