Assist with instruction and related activities in a classroom or assigned learning environment. Reinforce instruction to individual or small groups of students as directed by the teacher. 2. Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of classroom activities. 3. Learn guidelines and materials related to the reading program as assigned by the position. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans. 4. Read books to students and assist with reading and writing activities as assigned. Understand and follow oral and written directions. 5. Monitor, observe and report student behavior and progress according to approved policies and procedures. 6. Patrol and supervise campus activities to assure the well-being and safety of students and staff in non-classroom activities. 7. Investigate occurrences of property damage and suspicious or criminal activity. 8. Prevent or break up student conflicts and fights. Prepare incident reports. 9. Determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines. 10. Operate standard office and classroom equipment. Maintain records and files. 11. Observe health and safety regulations. 12. Administer first aid/CPR as required. Valid First Aid and CPR certification. Valid California Class C driver's license.
