Assistant Professor of Psychology FOCUS:
Psychology and Counseling

SALARY:
Competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications; excellent benefitspackage. Nine-month contract. Possible opportunity for compensated summer teaching.
Responsibilities:
Teach a12-hour load per semester of on campus and online undergraduate psychology and counseling courses as assigned; Advise and mentorstudents; Provide service to the College and actively participate in campus life on main campus in Peru, NE; Demonstrate active professional development and contribution to the academic discipline; Pursue continuous improvement ofinstructional practices; Implement student engagement practices in and outside of traditional learning space; Workeffectively with all students, many of whom are first generation college students.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Terminal degree in Psychology or Counseling. Professional licensed counseling experience. Online and classroom teaching experience.
Required:
Master's degree in psychology with a minimum of 15 hours of graduate coursework in Counseling or a master's degree incounseling; and experience and/or interest in increasing student success and engagement, particularly of underrepresented students.

Candidates with a master's degree and professional experience may be considered for an instructor level position. Completion of a terminaldegree is required for a tenure track position.
