Full-time, ~40 hrs/week, indoor shop environment Position Summary Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support tubing and instrumentation work inside pre-fabricated buildings and skids within the SPC Shop in Bridgeville, PA. Work includes stainless steel (SS) tubing installation, mechanical instrumentation setup, and task execution based on P&IDs and fabrication drawings. This role accepts candidates from entry to senior level, with hands-on training available for individuals building foundational skills. Instrumentation & Electrical Technician Primary Responsibilities Tubing Installation Install stainless steel tubing (3/8" standard; ½" occasional) within shop-built structures. Measure, cut, and bend tubing to project specifications and quality expectations. Route tubing from ports to instruments in accordance with drawings and layout standards. Instrumentation Work Install instruments and prepare threaded connections using pipe tape or dope. Secure instruments to ports (typically 1" or smaller). Follow P&IDs and fabrication drawings for layout and installation sequencing. Quality & Safety Verify all tubing and instrumentation meet shop quality and safety requirements. Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all shop safety practices. Assist in additional shop fabrication tasks as assigned. Instrumentation & Electrical Technician Required Qualifications Experience with SS tubing installation preferred; training offered for developing technicians. Basic knowledge of instrumentation installation and piping thread preparation. Ability to measure, cut, and bend tubing accurately. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and workmanship. Ability to work indoors, standing for extended periods. Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn technical tasks. Instrumentation & Electrical Technician Preferred Experience Prior exposure to instrumentation, tubing, or skid fabrication. Familiarity with tubing fittings, routing techniques, and bend standards. Understanding of industrial shop safety practices. Instrumentation & Electrical Technician Compensation/Benefits $30-$33/hr BOE Weekly direct deposit PTO/holidays Comprehensive medical/dental Long-term opportunity
