This position plays a critical role in supporting patient care, reducing claim denials, and ensuring accurate insurance verification prior to patient appointments. What You'll Do Verify insurance coverage for scheduled patient appointments no later than one 1-3 business day prior to the date of service Confirm active insurance eligibility and coverage for scheduled services Review and verify copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and benefit limitations Accurately document verification information within designated systems Communicate patient financial responsibility to appropriate staff and/or patients to support point-of-service collections Identify and escalate insurance discrepancies, eligibility concerns, or coverage issues in a timely manner Maintain compliance with established workflows, productivity standards, and organizational procedures Collaborate with front office staff, billing departments, providers, and coworkers to support efficient patient care What We're Looking For At least 1 year of experience in insurance verification Knowledge of insurance eligibility and benefits verification processes Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a structured environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player Experience with eClinicalWorks (preferred) Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused communication style Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
