Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/21/2026. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:

GS-7 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Performing patient examinations and t providing prompt and efficient patient care and appropriate patient handling. Accurately transmitting location information about the body. Properly administer drugs even when directed to do so by the licensed staff. Working with major psychiatric conditions, depressive, anxiety, bipolar and substance use disorders, and schizophrenia. Recognizing components of suicide risk assessment, warning signs, environmental safety and referral. Working with diagnostic signs, e.g., pulse, respiration, blood pressure, temperature, skin color, pupils of the eyes, state of consciousness, ability to move on command, reaction to pain, etc., to perform patient evaluation, to provide patient care, and to ensure appropriate patient handling. Education:

Must have successfully completed one full year of graduate education (18 semester hours or equivalent), or an internship in course matter with a major that included courses directly related to the work of the Health Technician position. This education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.

Combination of Specialized Experience and Education:

Must have an equivalent combination of related graduate level education and specialized experience to meet the total experience requirement. (Transcripts Required)

Veterans, transitioning service, National Guard, and Reserve military Corpsmen, Combat Medics, and Medical Technicians interested in temporary or permanent Intermediate Care Technician (ICT) positions.
