Hourly Job Shift First Description Job Purpose:
  • The Inventory Control & Receiving position at PRINSCO is essential for ensuring the efficient management and accurate recording of inventory levels and the receipt of goods.
This role is pivotal in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting the overall supply chain operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of inventory control and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to shipments.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and plan for future requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on inventory levels, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and receiving.
  • Train and supervise staff involved in inventory control and receiving activities.
  • Develop strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce excess stock.
  • Maintain organized and secure storage areas to ensure the safety and accessibility of inventory.
Qualifications Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
  • Experience in using inventory management software and systems.
  • Proven track record of maintaining accurate inventory records and managing stock levels efficiently.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical skills to assess inventory data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory counts and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including purchasing and operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and optimize processes.
