Hourly Job Shift First Description Job Purpose:
- The Inventory Control & Receiving position at PRINSCO is essential for ensuring the efficient management and accurate recording of inventory levels and the receipt of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of inventory control and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to shipments.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and plan for future requirements.
- Prepare and analyze reports on inventory levels, trends, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and receiving.
- Train and supervise staff involved in inventory control and receiving activities.
- Develop strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce excess stock.
- Maintain organized and secure storage areas to ensure the safety and accessibility of inventory.
Qualifications Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
- Experience in using inventory management software and systems.
- Proven track record of maintaining accurate inventory records and managing stock levels efficiently.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills to assess inventory data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including purchasing and operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and optimize processes.
