Job Description

Behind every successful project is a strong operations team — and our Inventory Control Technicians play a critical role in ensuring materials are available, organized, and production-ready. This is more than a warehouse role. It's an opportunity to become an essential part of a growing manufacturing operation where your work drives efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction every day. As an Inventory Control Technician, you'll help maintain the flow of materials throughout our manufacturing facility while ensuring inventory accuracy and operational excellence. In this role, you will: Maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products Perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate inventory variances Utilize inventory management systems to track material movement and stock levels Receive incoming materials, inspect for quality and accuracy, and properly store inventory Unload trucks and verify materials against purchase orders Organize storage areas for efficiency, accessibility, and safety Monitor material handling processes to ensure compliance with procedures Help ensure production teams receive materials without delays Communicate effectively with production, purchasing, and logistics teams Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Support continuous improvement initiatives and other operational needs as assigned We're seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in metal fabrication, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing preferred Strong understanding of inventory flow and warehouse operations Familiarity with inventory management software and systems Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot discrepancies, and work independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Basic knowledge of metal materials and fabrication processes is a plus At Awnex, we believe our people are the foundation of our success.
