Experience:

ERP experience required; manufacturing or inventory experience preferred Our client in the Johnstown, NY area is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment specializing in CNC machining, fabrication, welding, laser cutting, and sheet metal manufacturing . This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production flow, and ensuring efficient material movement throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing environment and bring strong organizational skills, ERP experience , and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Responsibilities of the Inventory Coordinator will include: Receive incoming raw materials, purchased parts, production supplies, and office supplies Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation Process receiving transactions accurately within the ERP system Properly identify and label incoming materials with correct item and purchase order information Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure labeling remains intact throughout production flow Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy investigations Process inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner Apply and issue raw materials to manufacturing jobs to maintain accurate job costing Coordinate movement of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods throughout the facility Monitor material shortages and communicate risks proactively to production and purchasing teams Coordinate inventory associated with outside processing services such as plating, powder coating, anodizing, and painting Collaborate closely with production, shipping/receiving, purchasing, quality, and accounting teams Maintain organization and cleanliness of receiving and inventory storage areas Qualifications for the role of

Inventory Coordinator:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous inventory, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred Experience in a machine shop, fabrication shop, or manufacturing environment strongly preferred ERP system experience required ; experience with Infor SyteLine ERP strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced just-in-time manufacturing environment Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and ERP data entry Strong communication and teamwork skills Forklift experience preferred Positive, professional, and solution-oriented attitude Ability to prioritize changing workloads and support operational needs effectively
