Job Description

Inventory Specialist (Full Time) Sterrett, AL Our company: Diehl is one of the leading partners of major international aircraft manufacturers in the areas of systems and cabins. Renowned aircraft manufacturers like Airbus, Boeing, Embraer as well as international airlines are among our clients. Our Customer Service Center in Sterrett, Alabama advises and supports our customers in the region when it comes to problem analysis, error and problem resolution, logistics matters as well as performing any rework or finishing and modification of components from our portfolio.

Overview:
The inventory department is responsible for order fulfillment, processing incoming and outgoing materials with maintaining an organized warehouse. This position is fast paced and requires critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask. Perform basic inventory duties including picking, receiving, preparing, and sorting.
Principal Responsibilities:
Manage & prioritize incoming requests from multiple sources (i.e., web-based tools, email, phone calls) Perform as required inspection of in-coming packages and duly record conditions for eventual damage claims Inspections & storage of materials Maintain all inventory records accurately using electronic document repository and ERP System Prepare outgoing material orders including picking, labeling, & creating outgoing documents Maintain and monitor inventory of high-dollar inventory items Execute Inventory Control and achieve inventory control Ensure proper disposal of all recyclable shipping materials Follow warehouse management procedures
Job Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in an ERP system, (e.g., Sage or SAP preferred, but not required)
  • Proficient in MS Office Tools (Word, Excel & Outlook, Power Point)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standing, bending and lifting, sometimes for long periods of time. Must have the ability to lift at least 30 lbs
  • Visual acuity necessary to inspect products and corresponding documentation
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jack and EZ-UP.
  • This position requires onsite performance due to need for frequent interactive involvement with other employees and departments
