We are building a structured, professional service operation — not a loose landscaping crew. Technicians are expected to work professionally, communicate clearly with customers, and take ownership of their work. The Position We are hiring an Irrigation Service Technician to operate an independent company service truck and perform residential irrigation repairs. This is a service technician role — not an installation crew position. The work focuses on diagnostics and repair , including: sprinkler system troubleshooting valve repair and rebuilds controller replacement and programming sprinkler head replacement and nozzle upgrades leak detection and pipe repair irrigation system improvements when landscapes change Technicians initially work alongside the owner to learn company standards before transitioning to independent service calls. Equipment Each technician operates a company truck pulling a fully stocked service trailer with organized irrigation parts, allowing most repairs to be completed without supply house trips. Responsibilities Run scheduled service calls independently Diagnose irrigation system problems Perform repairs cleanly and efficiently Communicate findings and repair options to homeowners Maintain clean truck and organized trailer inventory Collect payments when required Protect company vehicles, tools, and equipment Follow documented company procedures Maintain professional appearance and conduct Required Qualifications 2+ years experience in irrigation, plumbing, mechanical trades, landscaping, or similar field work Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly Comfortable working outdoors in summer heat Strong communication skills Calm under pressure Accountable and coachable Preferred (Not Required) Irrigation troubleshooting experience Electrical troubleshooting experience Experience running independent service calls Compensation $24 - $30 per hour depending on experience Additional earning opportunities include: performance-based bonuses production incentives tied to completed work rewards for low callback rates and strong customer feedback structured raises based on skill development and performance Technicians who produce high-quality work, maintain low callback rates, and deliver strong customer service have the opportunity to earn significantly above base pay .
