Job Description
Provides business analysis and project management services city-wide. The position works closely with the business to gain in depth understanding of customer's business needs, processes, services, and the context in which it operates. This role serves as a crucial liaison between both internal and external business and technical stakeholders. It involves thorough review, analysis, and evaluation of user needs to identify and address business challenges through appropriate technical solutions. The responsibilities extend across the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring not only the successful deployment of solutions but also providing continuous operational support post-implementation. This role requires excellent leadership skills, hands-on technical contribution, an action-oriented disposition, flexibility, and the propensity to flourish in a self-starting and challenging environment.
Analyzing Business Processes:
Evaluate existing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement or integration. Use business process analysis tools and techniques to analyze findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements.Requirement Gathering :
Collaborate with business leaders and users to understand their needs and development requirements from business workflows and supporting processes.Solution Design and Implementation:
Design or modify business systems and IT processes to meet changing business needs. Oversee the implementation of new systems, changes to existing systems, integrations, and various data migration efforts.Project Management :
Manage projects from conception to completion, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business needs.Testing and Validation:
Coordinate user testing, perform systems testing to support implementation, upgrades, and enhancements ensuring they function as intended. Develop and implement testing and validation procedures to ensure that systems work as expected. This requires proactive troubleshooting and resolution of any issues that emerge ensuring a smooth and effective system operation.Training and Support:
Coordinate user training on new or updated business systems and processes. Offer ongoing support to system users, helping to resolve any operational issues.Documentation:
Work with various business stakeholders to develop documentation pertaining to business rules and key system configurations to ensure that systems are easily understandable and usable. Performs other duties as required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field. 5-7 Years of relevant work experience in business systems analysis including identifying business processes and supporting process improvements. Knowledge of project management methodologies like Agile and Scrum preferred. Experience with ERP systems, CRM software, Large-scale SaaS and other enterprise solutions is beneficial. Valid Florid Drivers License.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Emergency Response Status:
As a condition of employment, City of St. Pete Beach employees may be required to work as directed during an undeclared and/or a declared emergency. All employees are subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the normal work location, and may include duties other than those specified in the official job description. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in data analysis software and business intelligence tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with team members and stakeholders at various levels. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure. Ability to think strategically and drive innovative solutions, with the ability to quickly acquire expertise in new technical domains. Willing to work as an effective member of a team but capable of working independently to solve complex problems. High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands and requirements. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions This is light work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently , and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The work may require climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels. Visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, operation of machines, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities. The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, hazards, and atmospheric conditions. A bility to use a computer and/or typewriter keyboard, and other pieces of office equipment, including a telephone. Ability to sit for long periods , bend, stoop, and manipulate small objects distinctly. Ability to use independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations. Ability to frequently perform light to medium lifting (10 to 25 pounds). May occasionally be required to perform heavy lifting (45 pounds and over) and carrying.Similar remote jobs
