Overview Swing shifts 12-8pm/night shifts 2-10pm Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line/Prep Cook and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will assist in preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the kitchen's smooth operation. Your culinary skills and passion for food will help create memorable meals in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working alongside talented chefs and food industry professionals. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Support the kitchen team in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation to prevent waste and contamination Assist with menu planning by preparing components for daily specials or themed menus under supervision Support catering events by preparing large quantities of menu items efficiently and accurately Serve as a team player by collaborating with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable but not required; willingness to learn is essential Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred Knowledge of food handling procedures, knife skills, and basic culinary techniques is advantageous Fine dining experience or background in the food industry demonstrates a strong foundation in quality standards Familiarity with meal preparation, menu planning, and catering operations enhances your ability to excel in this role Commitment to food safety practices and understanding of sanitation regulations is vital for success Embark on a culinary journey where your skills will shine!
