OF SUMMER SERVICE VACANCY POSITION

Itinerant Special Education Classroom Aide (Aide hired contingent upon number of students enrolled in the summer program)

LOCATION

To be determined by Special Education Director

REPORTS TO

Building Administrator and/or Special Education Director

QUALIFICATIONS

1. As per state and county regulations, those presently employed, or on the Substitute list will be given preference pursuant to WV Code § 18A

• 4•8b and § 18-5-39(f).

Must take and pass performance and written test, if not already classified as aide. 2. Must be willing to ride a school bus with special education students if necessary 3. Must possess a valid First Aid card and be certified in CPR. 4. Completed training of special education bus requirements 5. Ability to lift and/or assist with student safety equipment 6. Flexible schedule to accommodate special education bus times

SALARY:

As provided in West Virginia Code 18A-4-8 and 18A-4-8a

TERM:

AS NEEDED

June 12, 2026 â€" July 13, 2026 (The legal holidays of June 20, 2026 and July 4, 2026 are specifically excluded from the term of this contract and will not be compensated, which will observed June 19, 2026 & July 3, 2026)
