Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks across our facilities, ensuring that all areas are spotless, organized, and well-maintained. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as buffing, floor care, and deep cleaning to maintain high standards of hygiene. Handle custodial responsibilities including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and sanitizing surfaces. Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for equipment or infrastructure. Assist with residential painting or minor repair projects as needed to support overall facility upkeep. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors. Use commercial cleaning equipment effectively and efficiently to maximize productivity and quality of work. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or painting is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
