Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure cleanliness. Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as needed, focusing on high-traffic areas and specialized equipment. Maintain and buff floors to keep them in excellent condition. Assist with residential painting projects when required. Conduct commercial cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas are sanitized and presentable. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus. Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and safety protocols is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
