The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. Maintain floors through appropriate care techniques such as buffing and waxing. Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained at all times. Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established guidelines. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs or maintenance issues. Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, contributing to overall facilities upkeep. Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects or special requests efficiently. Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment used in commercial and industrial settings. Familiarity with floor care methods including buffing and waxing is advantageous. Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and understand facilities maintenance requirements. Experience in residential painting or porter duties is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while working independently or as part of a team. Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
