Summary/Objective
The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for executing graphic design for print and digital assets, with a strong focus on conceptualization, updating and editing existing files, adhering to brand and style guide standards, and collaborating with cross functional teams to produce high-quality campaigns and other design deliverables.
Responsibilities Creates marketing materials that align with brand standards and support strategic objectives across print, digital, social media, and other channels.
Develops and refines image and layout designs that communicate key messages and engage target audiences.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders and supports vendor communication to ensure accurate and timely delivery of design assets.
Assists in creating and adapting visual assets for mobile app interfaces, contributing to user experience and engagement.
Maintains consistent visual style and brand identity across print, digital platforms, and social media.
Organizes and synthesizes information, including feedback, to support thoughtful and effective design solutions.
Supports coordination with outside vendors to complete project tasks on time and to specification.
Partners with merchandising and cross-functional teams to support project goals.
Manages daily workflow, meets deadlines, and proactively communicates potential issues to management.
Participates in collaborative design critiques, reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
Reviews designs for accuracy and alignment with brand standards prior to printing or publishing.
Follows established brand and regulatory guidelines, escalating questions or issues as needed.
Maintains an organized archive of images, photos, and previous work for reference and reuse.
Stays up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to support fresh and relevant design work.
Utilizes industry-standard design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite) to create and refine marketing materials.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred; 0-2 years' experience in a digital and print production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
An online portfolio that demonstrates creative print and digital design experience and formal understanding of typography, color theory, design fundamentals, and basic brand understanding is required.
A high level of skill in the following Adobe programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
