Position:
Elementary Teacher And Junior High School Teacher Job Summary:
The Elementary or Junior High School Teacher will be primarily responsible for facilitating the learning process and fostering students' intellectual, social, and emotional development. The teacher will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.
Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
Valid Illinois Teacher Professional Educator License. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (for Elementary Teachers) or subject-specific certification (for Junior High School Teachers) is required. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to working with students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of subject matter content and pedagogy. Knowledge of and/or expressed interest in individualized instruction of students. Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom environment. Commitment to student-centered teaching and continuous improvement and professional growth. A minimum of 18 semester hours in the area of major teaching assignment, including 5 semester hours in each course where subject matter areas are divided into two or more specific courses (Junior High School Teachers).

Building Principal/Assistant Principal Responsibilities:
Curriculum Implementation:
Develop and deliver engaging lessons directly aligned with grade-level standards and curriculum objectives. Employ various teaching strategies and instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Follow the district's approved curriculum maps and plans.
Student Assessment:
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments. Use data to inform instructional decisions and tailor teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
Classroom Management:
Establish and maintain a positive classroom climate conducive to learning. Set clear expectations for behavior and academic performance and implement effective strategies to manage student behavior.
Differentiated Instruction:
Differentiate instruction to address students' unique needs and interests. Provide additional support or enrichment activities as necessary to ensure all students reach their full potential.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and well-being. Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences to foster a collaborative learning community.
Professional Growth:
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay abreast of best practices in education. Reflect on teaching practices and seek feedback to improve instructional delivery and student outcomes.
Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate, complete, and current records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
