  • 3:00 PM, Ormond Beach, FL The Children's House of Ormond Beach is seeking an experienced and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team of educators for the upcoming school year.
Our school blends traditional Montessori principles with contemporary best practices to create an engaging, well-structured, and developmentally aligned learning environment. Students in our kindergarten program have typically progressed through our Pre-Primary and Primary levels and are ready for an enriched experience that often exceeds traditional curriculum expectations. This position is ideal for a seasoned teacher who recognizes teaching as their natural gift and is looking for an alternative to the rigid requirements of public school systems. Our classroom structure supports both teacher creativity and strong daily routines, ensuring children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a well-organized, inviting classroom environment Design and deliver age-appropriate, developmentally balanced lessons Facilitate both independent and group learning experiences Support smooth daily routines and classroom transitions Observe and document individual student progress and behavior Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful learning atmosphere Apply effective classroom management techniques that encourage positive social development Integrate Montessori practices and principles into everyday teaching
Ideal Candidate:
2+ years of teaching experience, preferably with kindergarten-aged children Bachelor's degree in early childhood education/elementary education (preferred) Familiarity with or training in Montessori methods (preferred) Skilled at recognizing and supporting academic advancement beyond traditional expectations Confident managing the academic, social, and emotional needs of children ages 5-6 Strong organizational and classroom management skills Comfortable collaborating with other educators and maintaining clear communication with families Able to pass a Level 2
