Aug 25, 2026 Job Description The Gateway Regional School District is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher at Chester Elementary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of early literacy and numeracy development, effective classroom management, and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment for young learners. • Plans and delivers standards-based instruction aligned with district curriculum in literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional learning
• Creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports all learners
• Works collaboratively with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to meet student needs
• Communicates effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Supports the development of foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
• Integrates play-based and hands-on learning opportunities appropriate for early childhood development
• Maintains accurate records of student performance and progress
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Early Childhood (PreK-2) Licensure required
• Knowledge of early literacy instruction (CKLA experience preferred)
• Experience with differentiated instruction and meeting diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive school culture
• Salary range: $52,803-$91,482, dependent upon education and experience.
