The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential in supporting the preparation of high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, contributing to our commitment to exceptional food service. Duties Assist chefs and cooks with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly. Support catering events by preparing food items as directed by the culinary team. Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages. Experience Previous experience in a culinary or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is highly desirable. Experience in catering or fine dining settings is a plus. Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation is beneficial. A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic kitchen environment.
