  • Full-time Inside the Five Brewing Company is a full service brewpub located in Downtown Sylvania, Ohio.
Our brewery produces premium craft beer and provides the area with a top-quality restaurant eating and drinking experience. This is an opportunity to become part of a successful establishment and to directly impact Sylvania's entertainment life. As a member of our team, you will experience a fun, friendly, fast paced environment dedicated to providing the best service possible. We are looking for motivated, hard-working, and knowledgeable staff that can work well with others. We are looking to bring on a full-time Kitchen Manager to join our leadership team. The primary role of the Kitchen Manager is to work closely with the General Manager and owners in order to achieve the long term business goals at the Sylvania Restaurant Overall Responsibilities Food safety standards Ensure the kitchen is kept to the standard of Inside the Five and the local regulatory authority Make sure all necessary logs are being completed Complete Serv Safe level 2 certification Cleanliness and Sanitation Responsible for making sure monthly cleaning projects are completed Responsible for personally ensuring that your kitchen is kept clean and all equipment is properly maintained Ordering, Inventory, and Menu Responsibility for assisting AM Supervisors in keeping the restaurant supplied with the necessary food and supplies to operate Assist with monthly inventory count Responsible for following and executing all company recipes and ensuring all staff members are doing the same Responsible for the execution of all specials in your kitchen. Scheduling & Labor Control Responsible for weekly schedules for your kitchen Making sure labor goals are maintained Help find coverage or coming in to help out when your staff ends up being short handed Assist in hiring new staff when applicable Team Management leader Dealing with any possible issue that is brought to your attention by staff on a daily basis Initial point person on any interpersonal issues with staff members Responsible for nurturing effective communication between
FOH & BOH
staff Working closely with other leadership to make sure your location is operating as efficiently as possible to provide the best possible experience for our guests Must keep the overall morale of the restaurant at the forefront of your mind when making decisions Constantly focused on keeping a professional and effective relationship with all members of staff and leadership Take direction and communicate efficiently with all staff Help to continuously evaluate Opening and Closing duties and ensure they are being followed Additional Information Must be 18+ years old Must have at least 1 year kitchen managment experience Must have reliable transportation Must be flexible and able to work various shifts Weekend availability required Must be authorized to work in the United States Must be able to climb stairs Professional appearance and demeanor Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
