Job Description
We are a fast-paced Korean BBQ restaurant focused on quality food, teamwork, and creating a great guest experience. Our kitchen prepares traditional Korean dishes, marinades, soups, side dishes (banchan), and meats for tabletop grilling. We value reliability, consistency, cleanliness, and a positive attitude. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Experience with Korean cuisine is preferred, but we are open to cooks with experience in other Asian cuisines or strong line cooking experience who are eager to learn. Position Summary We are looking for a dependable and motivated cook to join our kitchen team. This position involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, maintaining food quality standards, and helping keep the kitchen clean and organized during busy service periods. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, communicates effectively with the team, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards Prepare meats, marinades, soups, sauces, and side dishes Assist with food prep including cutting vegetables, portioning meats, and stocking stations Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times Work efficiently during lunch and dinner rushes Assist with receiving and storing deliveries properly Communicate with kitchen team members and management professionally Help with opening and closing kitchen duties Preferred Qualifications Experience cooking Korean food or other Asian cuisine Experience working in a Korean BBQ or high-volume restaurant environment Familiarity with grilling meats, preparing soups/stews, rice dishes, and side dishes General Qualifications Previous line cook, prep cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs Strong teamwork and communication skills Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one Willingness to learn and follow recipes and procedures Schedule Full-time and part-time positions available Weekend and evening availability preferred Flexible scheduling may be available Starting pay is $17.50/hour + tip, with higher pay available depending on experience and qualifications.
