Job Description

Advanced Behavior Technician Job Description The Advanced Behavior Technician provides skilled one-on-one applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to adolescents in home-based or clinical settings. This role requires advanced behavior management abilities, strong implementation of ABA procedures, and confidence supporting clients with significant behavioral needs. Key Responsibilities Provide direct ABA therapy using evidence-based strategies to strengthen communication, social, adaptive, and behavioral skills. Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) as developed by the supervising BCBA. Utilize advanced ABA procedures, including positive reinforcement, errorless teaching, prompting hierarchies, discrete trial training (DTT), functional communication training (FCT), natural environment teaching (NET), task analysis, and shaping. Implement proactive and reactive behavior intervention strategies with fidelity, including support for high-impact behaviors (e.g., aggression, self-injury, elopement, property destruction) in accordance with agency safety protocols. Accurately collect and record skill acquisition and behavior reduction data daily; submit documentation in compliance with organizational and HIPAA requirements. Assist the BCBA with functional behavior assessment (FBA) activities, including ABC data, preference assessments, skill probes, and observation summaries. Maintain consistent communication with the BCBA, caregivers, and interdisciplinary providers to ensure coordination and treatment fidelity. Support clients in building daily living and adaptive skills such as toileting, dressing, hygiene, feeding, household routines, and community safety. Engage clients in structured, naturalistic, and play-based activities to promote generalization of skills across routines and adults. Uphold BACB ethical guidelines, professional conduct standards, and organizational policies at all times. Participate in staff meetings, training, competency checks, and ongoing professional development; maintain RBAI certification, RBT certification if applicable.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
