The incumbent of this position will provide security and supervision to skilled offenders performing journeyman level mobile equipment work at Raymond Laborde Correctional Center (RLCC). The incumbent is directly responsible for the supervision and all functions at the Automotive Service and Repair Department at RLCC. Why work for DOC?Culture :

Responsible for maintaining, diagnosis, repairing, and overhauling all mobile equipment at RLCC. RLCC's mobile equipment inventory currently includes (56) fleet vehicles, (38) heavy mobile maintenance equipment, construction equipment, (15) All Terrain Vehicles, (6) electric golf carts, (#) Utility Task Vehicles, large and small farm equipment, lawn equipment, and agriculture equipment. Troubleshoots, locates, identifies and repairs all problems with electrical system on all mobile power equipment. Orders parts for the repair and maintenance of vehicles.WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee will work with Inmates, Security Staff, and Maintenance Staff Employee will work for Assistant Maintenance Manager. Employee will supervise Inmates.Position-Specific Details:
