Full-time Job Title:
Chemical Technician - ACCI Specialty Materials ACCI Specialty Materials, a leading provider of high-quality specialty chemicals and materials, is currently seeking an experienced Chemical Technician with a focus on Quality Control to join our dynamic team in Harrisonville, MO. Position:
Chemical Technician 2nd
Shift Responsibilities:
Perform quality control testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to established procedures and protocols. Conduct analytical tests using various techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV/Vis to ensure product quality and consistency. Document and analyze test results, maintaining accurate and organized records of all quality control activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve any quality issues or deviations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chemical Technician or similar role in a laboratory setting, with a focus on quality control. Associate degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Proficient in conducting quality control testing using analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV/Vis. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methods, and techniques. Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a research and development environment. Knowledge of polymer chemistry or specialty materials. Experience with process optimization and scale-up activities. Proficiency in using software for data analysis and reporting.
